Additional and Specialized Home Inspection Options

Alongside our standard service, a general home inspection, we offer radon testing. Additionally, your needs may be better suited to one of our specialized property inspections.

Radon Tester

Radon Testing

Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that is heavier than air. It can come up from the ground and infiltrate your home, particularly in lower level rooms. It is a leading cause of lung cancer when present in high concentrations. Many areas around the Columbia River basin and southern Washington have high radon levels.

If we find dangerous radon levels in your home, there are steps you can take to reduce its presence. Testing involves digital monitoring of radon levels over at least a 48-hour period. This monitoring will usually not interrupt your daily routine. We highly recommend radon testing, for your family’s health and your peace of mind. Have your home tested today!

Thermal Imaging

Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging cameras can provide insight on a host of different problems in a home that can’t be seen by the naked eye, such as energy loss, electrical faults, and moisture intrusion. Using this technology, we may be able to detect costly issues in your home that other inspectors may not see. Because thermal imaging helps us conduct a more thorough inspection, we include this service free of charge when the inspector believes there may be hidden defects that could be found with a thermal camera.

Pre-Listing Inspection

Pre-Listing Inspection

Getting ready to sell your Vancouver-area home? A pre-listing inspection can help you set a fair price—and justify that price to potential buyers and their agents. You’ll have all the information you need to get your home into the best possible shape for sale. Having a pre-listing inspection report will also greatly aid you in preparing your seller’s disclosure documents.

Perhaps most importantly to your peace of mind, you could avoid late-stage delays in your sale. With our pre-listing inspection report in hand, you can avoid unfortunate surprises after you’ve accepted a buyers offer contingent on his or her own inspection of the property.

Home Maintenance Inspection

Home Maintenance Inspection

If you’re a new homeowner, or simply don’t have much background regarding home maintenance, you can benefit from our home maintenance inspection. Your home is a huge investment, so let us help you protect it. We can provide you with a detailed report of concerns, to take the guesswork out of your home maintenance schedule.

As many people have had to find out the hard way, home repairs are much less costly and time-consuming if performed sooner than later. By catching problems before they become catastrophic failures, you may find that an annual home maintenance inspection pays for itself by finding defects sooner rather than later.

11-Month Inspection

Builder’s Warranty Inspections – “11th-Month” Checkup

New homes usually come with a 12-month warranty from the building contractor. By having us inspect your home before this warranty is over, you can ensure that any covered system failures and any visible defects in work or materials won’t become your financial burden. Get the most from your builder’s warranty by scheduling this crucial 11th-month home inspection.
